The Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo is a popular destination for seafood lovers. The market is open from 5:00am to 1:00pm, with the wholesale market starting at 3:00am. It is closed on Sundays, national holidays, and some Wednesdays.

Visitors can watch the famous tuna auction starting at 5:25am, but only a limited number of spots are available and require advanced registration. The outer market, which is open to the public, offers a variety of food stalls and shops selling fresh fish, sushi, and other seafood-related items.

As of October 2018, the Tsukiji Fish Market has moved to a new location in Toyosu, but the outer market remains open at the original site.

In the surrounding area, visitors can also explore the historic Tsukiji Hongan-ji Temple, which is open from 6:00am to 5:00pm. The nearby Hama Rikyu Gardens, a beautiful traditional Japanese garden, is open from 9:00am to 5:00pm and offers a peaceful retreat from the busy market.
